In short, we need to use different epilation methods in each area as facial hair has different characteristics depending on the area and skin sensitivity also varies. Below are a few suggestions on how to deal with unwanted hair in each area:
There are certain medicated creams and other pharmaceuticals that can be prescribed by doctors to help put an end to facial hair growth. However, these don’t always work!
FRÉNÉSIES Facial Cream has been scientifically developed by European scientists to incorporate natural and clinically proven ingredients to help naturally stop unwanted facial hair growth.
The active ingredient, Selenium, inhibits hair growth deep within the hair follicle by breaking down the active proteins and amino acids that are needed to produce hair. Any hair that does grow back will be thinner, paler and weaker until it ultimately stops growing back after repeated treatments.
For the best possible results in using FRÉNÉSIES Facial you must ensure that hair is removed from its root. This entails that waxing is the best hair removal method when used in conjunction with the FRÉNÉSIES Facial.
As soon as the area has been waxed, apply FRÉNÉSIES Facial cream to get it to work straight away. The cream will also soothe, moisturise and reduce redness associated with waxing thanks to its natural herbal extracts the (White Willow (Salix Alba)), leaving your skin silky smooth.
For the cream to work you have to apply it every day for five days starting from the day you waxed.
Depending on the facial area, after the first cycle you should see a 60-80% reduction in hair regrowth, with hair being completely gone on a permanent basis after two to four cycles of treatment. Please note that according to our clinical trials in the most extreme cases it can take up to six cycles of treatments.
So if you’re experiencing unwanted facial hair growth, you can achieve your ultimate goal of completely and permanently eliminating unwanted hair with FRÉNÉSIES Facial Cream.
]]>A shift in societal norms, partly due to hygiene and skin health considerations, have largely removed preexisting taboos against male epilation.
Whilst traditionally most men simply shaved their beards, nowadays it’s common for men to shave other body parts with a large segment moving to laser treatment and waxing to ensure better and longer lasting results.
FRÉNÉSIES Men is a perfect compliment to any epilation procedure and would lead to a more efficient solution (both in terms of time and cost) towards getting rid of unwanted hair permanently. With this is mind, below we set out a few tips to achieve the best possible epilation results which will also help FRÉNÉSIES Men work best.
Here are our tips for the best male epilation.
ABOUT FRÉNÉSIES MEN
You can use FRÉNÉSIES Men after any epilation treatment that removes hair from its root, leaving the hair follicle open for the cream to penetrate it. All FRÉNÉSIES creams can be used as part of at-home treatments and will not only help reduce hair regrowth, but will also soothe irritation and inflammation after epilation and the menthol and rosemary will leave your skin smooth and fresh.
Please note that FRÉNÉSIES will help reduce hair regrowth permanently after a few treatment and in between cycles the hair that remains will come out weaker, which will help to make epilation much less painful.

Everyone’s hair grows at different rates. Many factors can influence the speed of hair growth. These include:
Genetics:
A person’s genes will dictate how quickly their hair will grow.
Sex:
Male hair grows faster than female hair. The growth of body hair is associated with the level of androgens (male hormones) in the individual, because men have a higher level of androgens, they tend to have more hair than women. When there are more androgens in the female body, more unwanted hair is produced and if it’s very abundant, it’s call hirsutism.
Age:
Hair grows fastest between the ages of 15 and 30, before slowing down. Some follicles stop working altogether as people get older. This is why some people get thinner hair or go bald. Only facial hair in women increases with age. In fact, one study found that almost 40% of women age 45 and older have an excess of facial hair growth, especially on the chin.
Nutrition:
Good nutrition is essential for the growth and maintenance of healthy hair. One should regularly eat healthy vegetables & fruits, to keep ourselves fit. The Important minerals one needs to take are iron, zinc, iodine, and silica. Keeping yourself hydrated is also a very important thing to remember.
Body area:
It was previously thought that body hair served to protect the area, such as the eyelashes and eyebrows help protect the eyes from dust, dirt and sweat, and termoregulace the body. Currently it is known that body and facial hair must be removed for reasons of cleanliness, health and aesthetics.
If unwanted hair is something you seriously would like to banish and to do so naturally, well now you can.
Our FRÉNÉSIES body cream, facial cream and cream purposely designed for men, has been specifically developed to give you an easy and natural method backed by scientists to give you soft, smooth and hairless skin - permanently!
Our ingredients have been sourced from various locations across the globe and combined by biomedical chemists, to ensure after your first five-day use of our cream that you’ll see up to a 70% reduction in hair re growth, and the hairs that do grow back will be weaker and thinner.
To completely eliminate body hair growth you’ll need to remove the whole hair follicle through waxing, and to then apply our cream straight away to help calm the redness and irritation that waxing can cause.
While the cream soothes and moisturises the skin, providing anti-inflammatory properties, the powerful formula will get to work deep within the follicle to break down the proteins that reproduce a hair, preventing it from re growing. You’ll then need to apply the cream for the following four days (5 day total) so the treatment can work.
It usually takes between two to four cycles for hair to completely stop growing.

What Can I Do About Unwanted Facial Hair?
There’s nothing dangerous about a few extra chin hairs, after all. But if it bothers you, there are things you can do to remove the hair or minimize its appearance. It is understandable that some women won’t welcome this change in appearance. Waxing, shaving, and tweezing are perfectly acceptable ways to deal with unwanted hairs. Based on the degree of growth, plucking, tweezing, threading, or waxing may do the trick and adding FRENESIES Facial hair prevention cream that is a natural hair inhibitor with permanent results.

Does removing unwanted hair speed up / slow down the regrowth rate?
When you remove unwanted hair it does not affect the rate it grows back. For example, if you remove leg hair it will still grow back 0.27mm a day.
Unless, of course, you are using a permanent hair removal method that will eventually halt hair growth.
The most common women facial depilation areas are between the eyebrows, chin and upper lip. The most common Men facial depilation areas are between the eyebrows, ears and nose.
We will expose the different methods, their benefits and care.
Before any method you choose you must PREPARE your skin:
Female facial hair removal options
Shaving
It is the fastest and cheapest, but it irritates our skin and the worst thing is that each time the hair comes out thicker and darker, since the hair is not removed, but remains in the follicle.
Waxing
Waxing is one of the most economical and effective ways to remove hair. Unlike shaving, waxing removes hair at the root, so there are no blunt edges to stand out on your face as hair re-grows.
This makes waxing a longer-term solution, since the hair must first reform its root before re-growing, which can take about two weeks. By contrast, shaving only removes hair for five days or less, since the root remains intact.
Hot sugaring
It is a great method, but you need to be extremely careful with the temperature of the sugaring mix, not to burn the delicate and sensitive facial skin, for all other part of the body is one of the best methods.
Threading
Definitely is the best method for the eyebrows. Threading is a method of hair removal originating in Iran, India, Central Asia and China in more recent times it has gained popularity in UK, especially with a cosmetic application (particularly for removing/shaping eyebrows). In threading, a thin (cotton or polyester) heard is doubled, then twisted. It is then rolled over areas of unwanted hair, plucking the hair at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing, where single hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can remove short rows of hair. Advantages cited for eyebrow threading, as opposed to eyebrow waxing, are that it provides more precise control in shaping eyebrows and is gentler on the skin. It can be painful as several hairs are removed at once; however, this can be minimized if it is done correctly with the right pressure.
Tweezers
This is a very popular and easy method, but you need to use brow scissors to trim longer hairs, checking for equal balance and proportion as you work. Then grab each hair at the root and pull smoothly in the direction of hair growth.
Laser
We have to be very careful about choosing the correct equipment, since for each skin there is a different dose of laser. We must also take into consideration that for light skin, it can leave small spots of colour in each pore, since it has burned the hair in the pore. For darker skin, the laser does not act efficiently, since it refracts the light, and the treatment has to be repeated many more times. After laser treatment, you may notice slightly darker or lighter skin. If you have light skin, you’re more likely to have darker spots from laser hair removal. The opposite is true of people with dark skin, who may have lighter spots from the procedure. You’ll want to minimize the chances that you’ll develop the most common laser-related side effects for dark or Black skin: hyperpigmentation, or dark spots, and hypo pigmentation, in which the skin pigment lightens.
How can we stop facial hair growth permanently?
FRENESIES cream can be used to stop hair growth on face! We recommend using waxing or threading in combination with Frenesies.

Repeat steps 2-3 every day for 4 additional days following the day of depilation.
The eye contour area is a circle that reaches from the inner corner of your eye to the outer corner below the end of your eyebrow. It includes the area underneath your eye as well as up to your brow bone.
The skin around the eyes is ten times thinner than the skin on the face. As we age, skin loses its elasticity and becomes even thinner due to a breakdown of collagen. This can be further aggravated by sun exposure, smoking, and other environmental exposures.
Caring for the skin around the eyes is a delicate process. Because it is thinner, it not only tends to be the first place to show signs of aging, but also is more sensitive than the rest of the skin. Swelling around the eyes is caused by an excessive accumulation of fluids (edema) in the surrounding skin tissue. Because the skin around the eyes is very thin, swelling and discoloration can be quite prominent.
Therefore, extra care needs to be taken when choosing a skincare product for this area. Products that contain gentle, non-irritating compounds that reduce the appearance of wrinkles (exfoliants), along with a wide range of vitamins, antioxidants, and skin-plumping substances are ideal choices.
There are several factors making the eyes more vulnerable.
Eye treatment, containing botanical ingredients which help to soften lines, diminish dark circles, relieve congestion, and reduce puffiness, leaving the delicate eye area feeling refreshed and toned.
FRENESIES Eye Contour is an ultra-light gel for skin care around the eyes with long-lasting moisturizing effect (72 hours). The gel express reduces the appearance of puffiness, bags under the eyes, helps eliminate dark circles (pigmentation) under the eyes and instantly smoothens the appearance of "crow's feet". Improves microcirculation, provides drainage of tissues, rejuvenates the skin around the eyes.
This innovative formula is infused with Parsley extract which is rich in vitamins A, C, and K. The high Vitamin C content stimulates the production of collagen in the skin and promotes cell reproduction and repair. Vitamin A softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and Vitamin K helps fade dark circles and strengthens capillaries.

]]>But can you do both waxing and tanning on the same day?
No, doing both on the same day isn’t going to do your skin any favours, and will leave your tan streaky.
So when should I tan?
You should fake tan a minimum of twenty-fours or more after you’re waxing session. There are many reasons why this is the best option, including:
For the best tan results, you’ll understand how important it is for your skin to have been exfoliated before you tan. It is an important step because the fake tan can apply smoothly and stay on your skin for the perfect streak free bronzed glow, and not cling to those dry patches where dead skin cells can accumulate.
When you wax, you are taking off the dead skin cells too, which means not only are you getting rid of your unwanted hair, but you are also exfoliating your body too.
After waxing you need to let your skin recover from having its hair pulled out, and allow for the pores to close back up again. This can take anywhere between twenty-four to forty-eight hours, and like so many activities to avoid in those following hours, tanning is a big one to avoid. The best time to apply fake tan or to book your appointment is after twenty-fours hours minimum.
This will also help your skin to recover and reduce any bumps, redness and irritation that occur when you’ve been waxed.
This will help to ensure you have flawless tan that shouldn’t appear streaky.
Can I tan before I wax?
Again this wouldn’t be the best solution. Tanning before you wax will leave you with a streaking finish no matter if you had a flawless look before hand, because the wax would not only take off the unwanted hair and dead skin but also your lovely tan too.
What about sunbathing and waxing?
Again it’s advised to not sunbath or have a sunbed before or after tanning. Your skin will not only need time to heal from being exposed to the Sun or sunbed but will also need to heal from waxing too.
Again like you would with fake tan, leave at least twenty-fours hours after waxing before you use a sunbed or sunbath.
If you have sunburn on the area you are wanting to wax, then you should postpone it until your skin is fully recovered. Your skin cannot be waxed when it is burnt, because it will only cause more pain and make the area worse. Your skin will be trying to heal itself and waxing will only irritate and damage the skin further.
So a recap; if you are preparing for a wax and to be tanned, follow these simple rules to ensure the best of both outcomes.
If you follow these tips then, you’ll end up with the perfect, smooth, hair free, tanned body for all occasions.
]]>And if you visit a salon to get waxed then mess free too.
But like with any areas you get waxed, there are certain aftercare tips that you need to adhere too, which is especially true for your intimate area.
So we thought we would put together a little guide for you, so you know exactly what to do and how to look after your intimate area after waxing.
Soothing lotion
Apply a soothing lotion to area after you have been waxed. One that is without fragrance and any nasty ingredients. Ideally a cream or gel that is designed for sensitive skin and to soothe redness and the irritation that you have after waxing. Our Frenesies Body cream is the perfect lotion to apply after waxing, because it not only reduces the redness and irritation, thanks to the specialist, natural ingredient Salix Alba (also known as white willow) but can stop hair regrowth too.
Loose clothing
Wear loose clothing including loser, cotton underwear, when you have been waxed and for the next twenty-four hours, as this will help eliminate any further irritation by an external factor. Anything that is tight will rub the area and make the healing time longer.
Don’t touch!
Keep the area clean but don’t touch the area with dirty hands. You may want to touch and caress your smooth hair free skin, but by doing so straight after waxing and the few hours afterwards, can increase the likelihood of an infection. This is because the pores will be open and susceptible to easily absorbing any germs.
When washing, use a shower gel that has been specially formulated for use down there. Fragranced gels, with lots of ingredients including chemicals can cause irritation in the following twenty-four to forty-eight hours after being waxed., so stick with a gentle gel/soap to help keep your pubic area in a soothed state.
Ingrown hairs be gone
With any hair removal method, you’ll be at risk of ingrown hairs. To keep help reduce the risk of having these, regularly exfoliate the area. This will help to smooth the area and get rid of dead skin cells that can clog the skin, which prevents new hair from breaking through the skin. If the hair can’t break through the skin, then it will start growing underneath the skin or back on itself. This will leave you with a red bump and most times cause a spot or even a boil as it may start to fill with pus.
Don’t shave
As tempting as it may be, do not shave in between wax appointments. Not only will this cause stubble, bit will result in your following wax appointments not providing the result they should.
You see all hair has a three stage cycle and when you wax, you are not only removing unwanted hair, but syncing the three stages together so all hair eventually grows through at the same time, meaning you’ll be hair free for longer. If you shave in between waxes then you are stopping the cycles from synching together and preventing yourself from having the longest time possible hair free.
As we mentioned earlier Frenesies Body cream is a fantastic cream to apply after waxing as it soothes, but will also stop your unwanted hair from growing back all together. Leaving you with a permanent hair free area, and no more hair removal.
]]>After doing some research it appears that there isn’t one particular way to wear your pubic hair, that finally after years of being told “you should do it this way” the norm is now “do what you want”. Which in theory is what you could do all along, but there was and still is to a degree a pressure, that it has to look a certain way.
There have been many external and social influences determining how one should have their pubic hair, and this has dated right back to the Egyptian and Greek times when being hair free meant you were richer, cleaner and had a higher social status.
In 2018 more women are deciding to not remove all of their hair anymore and to either go back to the simple, neat and tidy bikini waxes or to be completely natural.
Although women are also experimenting more with their bikini waxes to create different shapes to the hair they have left after waxing.
You no longer have to have a traditional triangle shape or “landing strip”. No, you can have heart shapes, diamond shapes, shapes that will help ‘slim down’ your hip width if that is something that concerns you, a full moon (a circle of pubic hair on your pubic bone), or pretty much any shape you’d like.
Most experienced waxing technicians view shaping your pubic hair as an art form, allowing them to be creative expressionists, providing you with more freedom with how you have your intimate area.
But by far the hottest trend of 2018 is a Brazilian wax with added glitter!
That’s right, get your wax technician to wax your pubic hair into any shape you wish and ask them to add glitter. Apparently there are a lot of glitter stencils they use so the choice should be endless.
Sadly, although it’s not a permanent design, you can achieve smoother, silky soft and hair free skin on a permanent basis after waxing with the help of Frenesies Body Cream.
Frenesies Body cream for removal of unwanted hair
Whether you want to permanently get rid of your hair altogether around your intimate area, or you want to stick to a simple landing strip design, triangle or whatever you want, you can now permanently have that, and stop experiencing the gruelling waxing appointments and seeing your waxing technician when you have used Frenesies Cream.
After the first cycle of treatment any hair that does grow back will do so thinner, paler and a lot weaker. After two to four cycles of treatment you will be hair free permanently.
The cream has been specifically formulated to be tough enough to block a new hair from forming, deep down within its root, while being gentle enough to smooth and nourish the skin after waxing, helping to reduce the redness and irritation that you have after waxing. With natural ingredients at the forefront of the formula, this tough little cream will become your new best friend.
]]>We’d always recommend that you see a professional, wax technician/beautician to ensure you get the best results every time, but if you are planning on doing your bikini wax yourself then below are several mistakes to avoid.
Pulling the wax off slowly
Now in theory pulling it off slowly would mean that it’s less painful, right? Wrong! Pulling the bikini wax off slowly will only leave you with patches of hair, in more pain and it will take a lot longer to complete the waxing procedure.
Wax has been designed to be pulled off quickly, so breathe, count to three and pull that wax off in one go, to help give you the best results.
You’re using the wrong wax for your bikini wax
Ready made wax strips and soft wax that you apply to your skin, pop on a cloth over the top and pull off, aren’t the waxes you should be using.
Hard wax is best suited for all waxing of your intimate area. Firstly it isn’t as painful as soft wax when you come to remove it. And secondly, you can even make it at home with sugar, honey and lemon!
Hard wax is the choice wax for those with sensitive skin (which is also why its perfect for this area as it is sensitive), as it only pulls the hair out of its root and not the top layer of dead skin cells like soft wax does, meaning less irritation.
Hard wax does require being heated to a certain temperature before you apply it to your skin with a wooden spatula and cooled.
Soft wax is too harsh for your delicate area and can leave you with bruises if taken off incorrectly.
Aftercare doesn’t matter!
Wrong, aftercare is so important after waxing. You’ll need to help close the pores to prevent bacteria from getting in and infecting the area. You’ll need to soothe the area to help reduce redness and irritation that will pretty much always occur after waxing. You will also need to reduce the chance of ingrown hairs with regular exfoliation.
The weeks between your waxing sessions, you’ll need to exfoliate the area with a gentle scrub, to make sure there are no dead skin cells that block the area where the hair will poke through to grow. If the hair can’t break the skin, then it will start to grow inwards and cause an ingrown hair.
The following twenty-four to forty-eight hours are crucial and really need aftercare. No tight clothing to be worn, no sunbeds or swimming, no exercising and no fragranced lotions to be applied, because all of these aspects will aggravate the area further when it is trying to heal.
Drinking caffeine or alcohol before you wax
Caffeine and alcohol both act as a stimulate and instead of helping you, will cause your skin to become more sensitive to the waxing, which increases the amount of irritation and redness you’re susceptible too.
Pulling the wax off in the wrong direction
It maybe common sense to some, but a lot of people pull the wax off the wrong way and wonder why they aren’t left with super smooth, hair free skin?
You first apply the wax onto the hair in the direction of the hair growth. For your bikini line, that’s applying the wax downwards, as if looking down your body, away from your body towards your legs.
When you come to take the wax off, you pull it off in the opposite direction to your hair growth. This means pulling it back towards your body, pulling it away from your legs. This enables you to pull all hair out of the root in a quick and sufficient manner, working against the way you applied the wax for best results.
Clean skin
Did you clean the area you are about to wax? No, well that could be a problem.
The natural oils on the skin can act as a barrier against the wax, meaning it won’t connect with all the hairs and pull them out. Leaving you with a patchy area. Before you wax, make sure you clean the area and thoroughly dry the area with a patting motion not rubbing, so it will be ready to be waxed.
Unwanted hair is too long
If the area of hair is too long, then when you wax you run the risk of the hair snapping and not being fully pulled out of the root, which is an inconvenience!
So trim your hair to a quarter to half an inch for the best result.
Frenesies Cream
If you want to be hair free for longer, and really can’t put up with waxing every few weeks, then Frenesies can help make you hair free permanently.
Use it after waxing to not only help calm any redness and irritation but to help block any new hairs from forming. After the first cycle fo use you’ll notice hair to be finer, weaker, paler and a reduction in hair growth. Up 60% less to be precise. After two to four cycles of use, you can expect to be hair free permanently.
]]>As with ladies intimate waxing there are many styles that you can choose from, and with the world of waxing perhaps being a little daunting to you males, we thought we’d put together a guide so you know exactly what you want when you go to get waxed.
First let's start by saying for the best waxing experience and to remove everything you want, you’ll need to go to a waxing salon.
We wouldn’t recommend trying to wax ‘down there’ yourself as one, once you’ve applied the wax you’ll be very reluctant to pull it off! Two, it will be more painful doing it yourself, and three, you won’t be able to reach all the areas you need to, to ensure the perfect finish.
You may seem intimidated and nervous visiting a salon and showing the waxing technician your intimate area, add in the pain factor to and you’re ready to run for the hills. But don’t because the end result will be worth it.
Now let’s talk about the different waxing styles you can have.
From Brazillians, to Hollywoods, basic bikini to your traditional back, sac and crack, what waxing style is it that you want?
Basic bikini
Similar to the female waxing style, the waxing technician will wax off the sides of your pubic hair. To be precise, this is by the crevice of your leg. This wax style neatens up the edges for you.
Depending on what you want, the technician can wax further inwards from your leg crevice to reveal a smaller area of hair.
Back, sac and crack
The back, sac and crack wax is also referred to as a Brazilian wax for males and entails removing hair from your pubic region, including your penis, groin, scrotum and buttocks.
Often the most popular wax for men, as it removes most of the unwanted hair, to reveal smooth and soft skin.
Hollywood
Now the Hollywood wax is where everything comes off, and we mean all unwanted pubic hair. You’ll be left completely hair free. All hair from the pubic area, buttocks, tops of legs, penis, buttocks and scrotum will be removed, revealing a completely smooth, hair free area.
So why has waxing gained popularity?
As we said earlier, the twenty-first century has seen men wanting to ‘tidy up’ down there more so now than at any other time.
Men have been known to say that they feel cleaner by having their unwanted hair removed from the intimate area, while others say that shaping their pubic hair or getting rid of it, not only helps them to appear perhaps slimmer but also gives them a new found confidence.
If perhaps after a few waxing sessions you really have become accustomed to not having hair down there and would love to know if there was a permanent hair removal solution? Well, the answer is yes!
Frenesies for Men
Frenesies for Men has been specifically designed for use by men to get rid of any unwanted hair they have anywhere on their bodies. It only works when you have been waxed as it has been scientifically developed by the leading scientists in Europe to block the proteins and amino acids deep within the hair follicle from reproducing a hair. This can only happen when all the hair has been removed from the follicle - hence why it goes hand in hand with waxing.
Use the cream which also doubles up as a soothing, moisturising lotion helping to minimise the associated redness and irritation with waxing, after you have been waxed and apply for the following five days.
It takes between two and four cycles for this treatment to fully work (in extreme cases six) but once complete you will be hair free permanently.
The has never been a better time to get your intimate area waxed, and don’t worry about having to get ‘down there’ out in front of the waxing technician. They have seen it all before, and all that is on their mind is to provide you with a tidied up area or a hair free region that you want.
If you feel nervous let the technician know so they can help to put your mind at ease and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
So what style will you be trying?
]]>Yes, there is - waxing!
Why is waxing the best hair removal?
There are many reasons why waxing is the best hair removal method for your intimate area. The main reason being the length of time you are hair free for, compared to that of shaving and hair removal creams.
When you wax you should be left hair free for anywhere between three and six weeks, and when hair does grow back it won’t be like that irritating, itchy stubble phase you get with shaving and depilatory creams.
Some also claim that they feel ‘cleaner’ for longer down there, because they know they don’t have to worry about removing their hair every few days.
The feeling of being ‘clean’ in the pubic area goes back to the Greek times when you were considered a ‘clean’ person if you were completely free of body hair.
Although visiting a salon for a bikini wax can seem a little intimidating, you can’t argue that you will get the very best wax possible, as doing it by yourself is hard.
Plus it will reduce the risk of bruising and bleeding compared to if you do it yourself. The waxing technician will also provide you with instructions on how to look after the area, what to do and avoid after you have been waxed.
For example, you should avoid swimming, sun exposure and touching the area (and if you do touch it makes sure you have clean hands) for the following twenty-four to forty-eight hours.
This is to help the area calm its irritation and redness, while preventing the chance of infection, especially as waxing cause your pores to become more open (for the hours after) as the hair is pulled out.
Professional waxing is the preferred hair removal method because you run a lower risk of infection that can be associated with hair removal, such as ingrown hairs that can cause (in extreme cases) boils.
It is always good to bear in mind that infection can still happen if you do not follow the aftercare advice provided to you by your technician.
Some even say that being waxed gives them a newfound sense of confidence. That they feel empowered to wear clothing, underwear or swimwear that perhaps they would have shied away from beforehand.
Waxing doesn’t just have the above reasons for why it is the better option for hair removal for ‘down there’, but it will also produce less hair in the long run.
This will only start to happen if you become a regular waxer, but if you're wanting to completely get rid of your unwanted, intimate hair, then Frenesies Body Cream will be able to help you.
Scientifically proven to work with its natural ingredients, your intimate area can be hair free when you apply this cream after waxing in as little as two cycles of application. In extreme cases, it can take up to six cycles of treatment.
You’ll know that waxing damages the bulb of the hair causing it to overtime grow back slower and thinner, well when paired with Frenesies cream the hair will stop growing altogether.
With the damage of the bulb and the ingredients in the cream stopping the proteins and amino acids from forming a hair, your area with unwanted hair will now become a thing of the past.
]]>So you’ve decided to wax your intimate area, great, but what’s that voice at the back of your head saying? That it’s painful and embarrassing? Well, tell that niggling voice to be quiet because we are here to help your first time go as smoothly as possible.
Your first time will seem extremely daunting, partly because you’ll have to show your intimate area to a complete stranger, so you think that perhaps doing it yourself at home will be easier. It won’t!
The trouble with doing it by yourself is; one, you won’t be able to reach all the areas you need to easily. Two, once you’ve placed the wax on the area, you’ll be really reluctant to pull it off, and can end up bruised and even worse bleeding. And thirdly, you aren’t experienced in knowing how to wax properly.
Then there is the clearing up and understanding what to do and what to avoid doing over the next twenty-four to forty-eight hours, which is something a qualified wax beauty therapist will be able to advise you on.
Does going to see a waxing beautician seem a little less daunting now?
Still worried about them seeing your intimate area? Honestly, you shouldn’t be. They are qualified, trained professionals who have seen lots of ‘ladies areas’ and don’t see it as your private area but rather the area they are to wax to achieve what you want. They won’t judge you or make you feel uneasy.
Depending on the style of Bikini wax you have they will more than likely be able to offer you throw away paper knickers to wear if you do still feel nervous.
Do I need to prepare my intimate area for waxing?
Yes, there are a few key things for you to do before you have your intimate area waxed.
First off, you need to let your hair grow. If you’ve recently shaved then wait around a month before booking your appointment. Why? Well, you'll need your hair to be longer so the wax can attach itself and pull all of the hair out of its root.
Exfoliation is key!
Exfoliation will help rid the area of dead skin cells which aids in reducing the chance of infection while helping the hair to stand up, more pronounced. The exfoliation will help loosen the hair from its root, which results in the wax doing a better job of grabbing onto the hair and pulling it more freely.
Pain relief
If you are worried about the pain aspect of the wax, this is completely normal, but there is something you can do to help ease it. If you are able to, take a painkiller such as Ibuprofen about thirty minutes to an hour before your appointment. This will help to mask some of the pain for you.
If you aren’t put off by the pain element after your first session, you’ll be pleased to know that you do become accustomed to it, meaning the more bikini waxes you have, the less painful they become.
Loose clothing
On the day of your wax, wear loose clothing, so you can feel comfortable, and to prevent tight clothes from rubbing, chafing and irritating against your fresh, hair free skin.
What happens at your appointment?
When you arrive for your appointment, the technician will introduce themselves to you, and it’s at this point when you can say it’s your first time and let them know if your feeling nervous etc. Of course, you don’t have to say how you’re feeling but it will help you and the technician to feel more comfortable with one another, while the technician can help put you and your mind at ease.
The technician will ask you to lay on the couch with your clothes on your lower half removed. Don’t be alarmed if she asks you to move into different positions so she can get to all the areas she needs to. This is dependent upon which bikini wax you are getting as the technician won’t be able to get to all areas that need to be waxed if you just lie on your back.
The technician may also trim the hair being waxed if it is too long. This is perfectly normal and the reason behind it, is so when the wax is applied and pulled off, it takes all the hair out of the root. If the hair is longer than necessary when the wax is pulled off, then there is an increase in the likelihood of the hair breaking and it not being removed entirely.
Once the technician has finished waxing you, she’ll apply a cream or gel to help soothe the irritated skin and provide you with tips on how to look after the area for the following twenty-four hours.
Waxing aftercare
The following few hours there are certain things you should avoid doing to help reduce the chance of irritating the area further.
These include:
Things you can do following the twenty-four to forty-eight hour period include:
Frenesies Body Cream has natural ingredients, including Salix Alba (White Willow) that helps reduce the redness and irritation that waxing causes while moisturising, nourishing and working to stop hair regrowth.
Frenesies works to completely stop unwanted hair growth on those body parts you want to have silky smooth skin but on a permanent basis.
So if you like being hair free down there, why not use our body cream and eventually stop going to the waxing salon altogether?
]]>Well, we thought we’d list the different bikini waxing styles and what they look like so you can achieve the right look you want at the salon. But first, let’s see what a bikini wax actually is.
What is a bikini wax?
A bikini wax is a process where pubic hair is removed either by hard or soft wax to leave the remaining pubic hair either in a specific style or to have it completely removed.
What bikini styles are there?
During the seventies, the look for your intimate area was ‘oh natural’ with very few women removing their hair. Since the seventies, however, there have been quite a few different bikini wax styles that have developed over the years, that have also become popular and removing hair being the ‘on trend’ thing to do. The following styles are the ones that are most commonly done which suit a variety of tastes too.
Bikini Wax
A standard bikini wax is where hair is removed from the leg crevice to your pubic area and on the top of the thigh. It’s a simple hair removal process that can appear daunting and painful at first but one you’ll soon become accustomed too.
You’ll be left with neat sides, hair on your pubic bone in a triangular shape, but with no hair visible from the sides of your underwear.
Extended Bikini Wax
This is the same process as a standard bikini wax, but the sides of the bikini wax move further in leaving you with less hair. You’ll be left with a smaller triangle with less hair on show.
Brazilian Wax
A Brazilian wax takes most of the hair off, leaving you with a small strip of hair in the middle of your pubic bone. Hair will also be removed from the Labia and the cheeks of the bottom. The Brazilian has been popular since the 1990’s.
Hollywood Wax
A Hollywood wax removes all hair from your pubic bone, your buttocks and upper thighs, leaving you 100% hair free down there!
Creative styles
Although the above bikini waxes leave you with a triangle, line or completely bare, you and your waxing technician do not have to create the same look. Why not become creative, and think of new designs you’d like.
You could have your pubic hair styled into a heart shape, diamond or even a martini glass shape. What about a simple postage stamp, where hair is left in a tiny square?
The possibilities really are endless when it comes to creating a style unique to you.
If a Hollywood wax sounds the sort of wax you want on a permanent basis, or perhaps you’d wish you could have an extended bikini wax that lasts forever, then Frenesies can make your wish come true.
Frenesies Body Cream
Frenesies have developed this hair removal cream that is unlike anything else currently on the market.
Our body cream is tough enough to stop hair regrowth but gentle enough to be used on your intimate area. It’s the perfect cream to help soothe any irritation and reduce the redness associated with the after effects of waxing.
Simply apply the cream straight after waxing, and for the following five days to the area, you no longer want any hair. After the first cycle of treatment, the hair that does grow back will be up to 60% thinner, paler and weaker. You should be entirely hair-free permanently after four cycles of treatment, but in extreme cases, it can take up to six cycles.
If being hair free is what you desire but you don’t fancy waxing every month or using other harsh methods to remove your hair then Frenesies is the product for you.
]]>But that’s ok because we thought we would let you know exactly what you should expect from your very first session.
Body preparation before your session
The day before you go for your waxing session, you’ll need to prepare the area you are getting waxed, so it is in the perfect condition to be waxed.
Trim your hair
Ideally, your hair will be ¼ to ½ inch long; if it’s any longer, then you run the risk of the hair breaking off halfway, rather than being completely pulled out.
If the hair is long, just trim it to size, which will also help with reducing the pain level (slightly) when it comes to being waxed off.
Exfoliate
The night before your waxing appointment take a shower or bath and exfoliate the area to help the hair stand more pronounced, and to remove dead skin cells.
It’s so important to do this the night before your appointment because if you do this right before your waxing appointment, it will make your skin more sensitive and will be more irritated once your waxing is complete.
In between your waxing appointments you’ll need to exfoliate once to twice a week, just so the hair that grows back can break through the skin effortlessly and help in reducing the chance of an ingrown hair.
Moisturise
Once you’ve exfoliated the night before your appointment, you’ll need to moisturise to rehydrate your skin. Again you should do this the night before as when you go for your appointment the skin in the area that is getting waxed shouldn’t have anything on it as it can affect the wax by not allowing it to stick down properly and grabbing all the hair.
On the day of your waxing appointment.
When the day of your waxing appointment comes round, you’ll want to wear loose clothing, so when you are hair free, the garment won’t stick to you or rub the exposed area which will naturally be irritated from the waxing.
Always have a quick shower or bath on the day of your appointment for hygiene reasons and to wear clean underwear.
Just to pre-warn you, waxing is painful, especially your first session. As you continue with your waxing sessions, you’ll become accustomed to the pain and won’t feel it as much. If you think it will be too painful and you can, take paracetamol up to half an hour before your appointment to mask the pain slightly.
When you arrive for your appointment you’ll be asked to fill in a medical questionnaire that allows you to state any allergies you may have and if you have any medical conditions. This is standard procedure and lets them know what products they can’t use on you and what they should do if a medical emergency happens.
Next, the waxing technician will introduce themself and take you into the room where they’ll wax you.
Depending on where you are getting wax you’ll be asked to remove the piece of clothing, so they can get to where you want to be waxed.
If you are having your intimate area waxed, then you may be supplied with throw away paper knickers to wear if you’re feeling self-conscious. Again, depending on the style, you are having waxed you may have to ‘reveal all’ when having a Brazilian or Hollywood wax.
The technician will first sanitise the area being waxed and then apply a layer of wax which will be warm to the area. Next, they’ll apply a cloth strip over the wax and apply pressure, so it sticks and then quickly pull it off your skin, taking away the hair.
This process will be repeated over the area being waxed until all hair has gone.
Once you’ve been waxed, the technician will apply a soothing lotion to help calm the skin as it will become red, possibly bumpy and will look irritated.
This is perfectly normal and should calm down in the following 24 hour period.
Waxing aftercare
There are some protocols you should undertake following the 24 hours after your waxing appointment and until your next waxing session.
You should avoid doing the following, during the first 24 - 48 hour period after a wax:
All the above points will cause further irritation, possible infection and delay the healing time, which is something that doesn’t need to happen when it will only take up to two days to heal.
Once you’re over the 48 hour threshold and up until your next waxing appointment, regular exfoliation and moisturisation will help keep your skin in its very best condition, ready for the next appointment.
Why not make your moisturiser work harder for you by not only reducing the associated redness from waxing, while soothing and moisturising skin, but also working to put a stop to the regrowth of your unwanted hair - permanently!
FRÉNÉSIES Body Cream is a scientifically proven cream with natural ingredients including white willow that stops the growth of unwanted hair, leaving you with silky smooth skin without the worry of having to remove hair.
The cream goes hand in hand with waxing because, in order to be able to work, the whole hair has to be removed from its root, which is what waxing does.
Hopefully, our step by step guide will ease any concerns you may have with your first waxing appointment and what to do to prepare for it. Remember if you have any concerns to speak with your waxing technician who’ll be able to answer your questions, and put your mind at ease.
]]>It started right back in the stone age when our ancestors that were covered in hair would use stones to scrap away their hair to prevent enemies and animals from grabbing onto it when they were involved in a fight.
Then Egyptians progressed hair removal and invented sugar waxing. During the Egyptians times if you weren’t ‘hair free’ then this would suggest to others that you were of a lower class and unclean. Being hairless was associated with being rich and powerful and is a trend that has carried on through the years that includes the Romans and Greeks following suit.
Hair removal devices through the years
Let’s start right back at the beginning of time during the Neolithic times when Cavemen would use stones that had been sharpened to a point, to scrape their animal-like fur off their bodies for protection purposes.
Moving onto the Egyptians times, and hair removal progressed, and a new hair removal invention was born - waxing!
The Egyptians created hard wax, a less painful method than scraping your skin with a stone!
The Romans not only used wax and pumice stones but invented the razor, tweezers and depilatory creams. Yes, it is true that the Romans indeed managed to create most tools for hair removal, but that doesn’t mean to say they were the nicest of appliances to use.
Razors were made with flint, depilatory creams were made with a concoction of weird ingredients that include bat’s blood and resin, and as for tweezers; well these were a gruesome tool that plucked pubic hair as soon as it started to grow.
Throughout the hundreds of years since these ancient times, many different eras have produced their own way of getting rid of hair, but no new hair removal device was invented or progressed until the 1900’s when the first razor in the shape and form we have now was developed specifically for women.
The 1980’s saw the invention of the epilator, a mechanical tweezer that can pluck out many hairs in one go, and was a game-changing in the world of hair removal.
Fast forward to the 1990’s when laser hair removal and intense pulsed light were designed to provide long-term results of hair removal, and today we have seven options to get rid of your unwanted hair: Waxing, shaving, epilators, tweezers, IPL, laser hair removal and depilatory creams.
FRÉNÉSIES have looked back through the history books and science books to develop a cream that uses natural ingredients to safely prevent the growth of unwanted hair.
When used in conjunction with waxing it will provide you with smooth, hair-free skin on a permanent basis, as well as soothing any irritation and redness, and moisturise the skin.
There currently isn’t any other product available on the market that can do what FRÉNÉSIES does!
It will take anywhere between two and four cycles of treatment to completely get rid of your unwanted hair altogether, but in extreme cases can take up to six sessions.
FRÉNÉSIES Body Cream works on all areas of the body you wish to remove hair and FRÉNÉSIES Facial Cream has been specially designed for use on the face as the facial area requires different needs to that of the rest of the body.
]]>Plus it is one of the oldest forms of hair removal, dating back to the Egyptian times.
But have you ever wondered how easy it is to make your own wax? To save on trips to the salon or spend money on wax strips?
Plus you probably have most of the ingredients required in your home already.
Still unsure? Well, read on to see just how easy it is!
What do you need for your homemade wax?
To make your natural homemade wax all you need are:
And that’s it! To make your very own wax, all you need is sugar, lemons and honey. We said you’d probably have those ingredients at home and they’re cheap too - bonus!
Aside from the ingredients, you’re also going to need a glass saucepan, a hob, a jar with a lid, and a cup to measure the right amount of ingredients.
Steps to make your homemade wax
First, you need to measure out your ingredients:
Stir these ingredients together, and then place the saucepan with the stirred ingredients onto the hob and bring to the boil, stirring continuously.
Then remove the mixture from the heat and pour into a glass jar and allow to cool.
By applying it into a glass jar, if you don’t use the whole mixture you can then save the unused wax for next time.
How to use your homemade wax
Apply the wax to the area you are wanting to get rid of unwanted hair. Apply with either a spatula or a knife and coat the area in the opposite of the direction of hair growth.
Apply pressure to the wax so it picks up all the hairs and then pull off, et voila you’ll be left with smooth, hair-free skin.
This particular type of wax is great for those who have sensitive skin or find soft waxing too painful.
Hard waxing (sugar waxing) is a natural way to remove your unwanted hair, without as much pain, because it works to be more gentle on the skin, and without any chemicals that can be found in soft wax. There is less mess and no need for cloth strips to pull the wax and hairs off the skin, you simply peel back the sugar wax to reveal, soft and smooth skin.
Make sure you apply a soothing lotion to the skin once you’ve finished waxing, to reduce associated redness such as our FRÉNÉSIES Body cream, that contains White Willow to help soothe and calm the skin, plus the cream will also work to permanently get rid of your unwanted hair when waxing.
FRÉNÉSIES Body cream is a scientifically designed cream that includes natural active ingredients to provide you with permanent hair removal results and is a proven way to naturally stop hair growth unlike any other product currently on the market.
]]>Dating back to the Egyptian times, waxing has been the go-to popular hair removal method for many centuries, and over these years, the wax has been developed and altered to achieve the best results. In essence today we have two types of wax that we can use; soft wax and hard wax.
What is soft wax?
Soft wax is what you probably think of when you think of wax. It is the wax that is most typically used in salons or on pre-made wax strips you can buy and use at home.
In the salon, the wax technician will generally use a specialist wax pot that heats up the wax and is then applied to the skin warm with a spatula. Then the technician will apply a cloth strip over the top of the wax, press down and swiftly pull the wax off, along with your unwanted hair and any dead skin cells.
What is hard wax?
Hard wax is also warmed in a specialist waxing pot and applied to the skin with a spatula. Once the wax has thickened, it is then pulled off without the use of a cloth strip. Beauty technicians often prefer hard wax because it causes less pain and doesn’t leave any wax residue on the skin. Using hard wax also lowers the chance of severe irritation too.
In fact, it was this type of wax that was invented by the Egyptians (Sugar waxing) and is how they use to get rid of their unwanted hair.
With three key ingredients; honey, lemon and sugar you too can make your own hard wax at home, just like the Egyptians once did.
Which wax is better for you?
You do not necessarily get to choose which wax to be used if you are going to a salon or using ready-made wax strips, but it is good to know that there are pros and cons to both types of waxes.
One wax may be better suited to some people than others, as well as some areas of the body responding better to a particular type of wax.
For example; if you have sensitive skin, hard wax is better suited for your skin type, because sensitive skin tends to feel more pain. Hard wax isn’t as painful as soft wax as it only pulls out the hairs and not dead skin cells.
The pain felt is caused by the wax pulling the hairs out of their root, along with the top layer of dead skin cells (when waxed with soft wax).
If you’re waxing a larger area such as your legs or arms, then soft wax will be the preferred waxing method. This is, because soft wax works better when removing unwanted hair from a larger area, and will be quicker too. Plus soft wax is cheaper to produce than hard wax, so will be cost effective also.
As hard wax only pulls the hair out of its follicle, it works really well in those slightly more sensitive areas, such as; the face, armpits and the bikini area. Hard wax is excellent for epilating those small areas such as the chin because it won’t cause much mess or leave any residue behind.
How waxing is your gateway to being completely hair free
As we have already mentioned, waxing is the perfect solution to get rid of your unwanted hair as it leaves you hair free for longer, but it can also help you to be hair free on a permanent basis with used with FRÉNÉSIES cream
It doesn’t matter whether you want to get rid of unwanted hair on your body or your face, FRÉNÉSIES have creams that can do both, so you no longer have to worry about those pesky hairs making a reappearance.
From just one cycle the scientifically approved cream with natural ingredients will give you a reduction in hair growth of up to 80%.
The cream works deep inside the hair follicle once the whole hair has been removed to block the proteins and amino acids from producing hair growth.
Both hard and soft wax work in partnership with the cream, to help give you permanently silky smooth skin without the fuzz!
]]>Well, we’ve been thinking the same, so we thought we’d do our research and provide you with the lowdown on armpit hair!
Why do we have armpit hair?
The reason we still have armpit hair considering as humans we have generally lost a lot of our body hair through evolution is still somewhat a mystery. There are of course many theories, with many conclusions as for hair under the armpits purpose, but the ones that keep popping up and seem credible; is that underarm hair helps to prevent chafing, and helps to wick away sweat, for better ventilation.
Other theories include; that armpit hair helps to trap our own scent which then entices the opposite sex, something that perhaps isn’t solely relied upon nowadays but most definitely back in the cavemen days.
So when did women start shaving their underarms?
Well, in terms of time it was quite recent in the grand scheme of evolution, which is quite surprising considering hair removal has been done since the stone age.
It wasn’t until the sleeveless dress was created and became fashionable around the 1915 era that women started to shave the hair under their arms.
As there isn’t necessarily a use for underarm hair in today’s society, many women and men choose to remove it; whether that is for aesthetic reasons or to prevent sweat from lingering within the hair.
Underarm hair removal methods
When it comes to removing underarm hair the most popular method across the world is shaving. It’s quick and easy and removes the hair instantly. The downside is that you’ll have to shave every few days to keep on top of regrowth, and there is an increased chance of ingrown hairs.
Waxing is a good option for underarm hair removal because it not only removes the whole hair from its root but will also keep the area hair free for longer.
Although waxing the armpit is a painful process and can seem pointless when you’re only removing a small amount of hair, but it is worth it, but why?
Well for one, you’ll be hair free for longer and when the hair does grow back it will do so thinner, meaning if you keep up with waxing your underarms, the time in between appointments will become longer.
And secondly, you’ll actually be able to permanently get rid of underarm hair when you use FRÉNÉSIES Body cream in conjunction with waxing.
So if you’re fed up of constantly getting rid of your underarm hair, then FRÉNÉSIES cream is for you.
The cream works to disrupt the proteins that produce hair resulting in hair not being able to grow.
For it to work the whole hair has to be removed from its root so it can get to work deep down in the follicle, hence why waxing is the preferred hair removal method.
After just one cycle of treatment, you can expect to see a 60-80% reduction in hair regrowth. Typically it can take anywhere between two and four sessions (six in extreme cases) for hair to be permanently gone.
Those days of worrying about your outfit being ruined by underarm hair can now be a thing of the past thanks to FRÉNÉSIES Body!
]]>Why do men have hair on their backs?
Although both men and women have the same number of hair follicles covering their entire body, men have hairier backs than women because of their genetics. Despite everyone having hair on their body, men have hair that is thicker, much like hair found on the head in the pubic regions and is known as terminal hair. Women do have hair in all the same places except theirs is thinner, lighter and is known as vellus hair. It all boils down to sexual selection.
So what can you do if you have back hair that you want to remove?
As you may be aware, there are many hair removal methods for you to choose from. Some provide long periods of time without hair, whereas others are short ‘quick fixes’.
But have you ever tried reaching all the areas of your back yourself? It’ll be near on impossible to cover every centimetre, which is why you’ll also need someone to help remove all the hair.
Therefore we recommend the best hair removal method for back hair is waxing.
Why is waxing the best option to remove unwanted back hair?
Waxing is the best hair removal method because not only do you get the smoothest results possible, but these results last for a long time. We’re talking up to six weeks!
The downside is the pain level. Waxing is painful, but the more times you experience, the less painful it becomes, as you’ll be getting use to it.
Through waxing your unwanted back hair, you are pulling out the hair from its root, which is why it will take a longer time to grow back. And when it does grow back, it won’t come back through all prickly, like perhaps the hair on your face does when you shave.
You’ll have to visit a salon to get your back waxed professionally, because like we already stated, you can’t wax the whole of your back yourself.
By going to a salon to have your back waxed, you’ll be left with the smoothest hair-free back that is soft to touch and pleasing to look at if you’re doing it for aesthetic reasons?
If you continue to get your back waxed, when your hair grows back it will do softer and thinner and will take longer to grow back too.
So you’ve decided to wax your back hair, but have you considered getting rid off of your back hair entirely? Well, FRÉNÉSIES can give you a helping hand.
How FRÉNÉSIES Men can help stop back hair from growing
FRÉNÉSIES Men has been specially designed for Men to reduce their body hair growth, tackling the tough, terminal type hair to give silky smooth, hair-free skin.
The cream not only reduces hair growth on a permanent basis but also includes; chamomile, menthol and rosemary to help soothe the skin after you’ve been waxed.
FRÉNÉSIES Men works fantastically well with waxing and is the only hair removal method we’d choose to couple up with the cream, as the whole hair has to be removed from its follicle for the cream to work.
The cream works it magic, by inhibiting the hairs regrowth deep down in the hair root by blocking the amino acids and proteins from creating a new hair.
After your first cycle of application of cream, you’ll see a reduction of hair by approximately 60-80%! And after the recommend four sessions (six sessions needed in extreme cases) you’ll be completely hair free permanently, so no more waxing for you!
If you want to find out more about FRÉNÉSIES Men, then take a look at our shop section for more about the cream.
]]>For example, at home waxing you do yourself, and at a salon wax, you have a professional waxing you.
Both have their advantages and disadvantages, so we thought we’d go through the pros and cons of both and what the differences are between them.
Home waxing
Home waxing is great and has been made to be as easy as possible with ready-made wax strips for you to pop on and rip off.
Alternatively, you can, of course, create your own wax, or buy a wax pot that heats up wax so it melts and can be applied directly to the skin.
Shop bought ready made wax strips come in a variety of sizes; small enough to wax areas of your face and others big enough to wax a larger area such as your legs.
Home waxing with ready-made strips are mess-free, but you do have to summon up the courage to pull that wax strip off because you know that pain is going to follow.
When you’re done with the strip, you simply throw it away, apply a light lotion onto your hair free skin and away you go.
If you choose to use a wax warming pot, this can get messy and is a lot messier than ready-made wax strips.
You need to make sure the temperature of the wax is right, so you don’t burn yourself, yet isn’t too cool so it doesn’t work. Then depending on the type of wax you’re using you either apply a strip of cloth (soft wax) and pull the wax off, or you’ll gently pull the wax off itself without a strip (hard wax).
The trouble with at home waxing is if you are inexperienced at waxing you can cause some bruising and minor bleeding in some cases if applied and pulled off incorrectly. Plus you run a higher risk of ingrown hairs too, partly because of the wrong technique and also, because you’re more likely to be too careful due to the pain element, and not pull all the hairs out.
You also run a higher risk of scarring yourself, because waxing is an irritant to the skin and if done incorrectly can lead to scarring, and in worse cases infection. Infection typically occurs when bacteria or dirt gets in through the open pores after waxing.
Salon waxing
There are many benefits to salon waxing no matter if you a novice or experienced with waxing.
Firstly they can reach all the areas that are hard to wax by yourself and ensure that all hair has been removed, leaving you without any patches of hair, and more extended results than at home waxing. It has even been said that having a salon wax is less painful than doing it yourself!
Salon waxing is also easier and more comfortable for you, as you don’t have to worry about clearing up afterwards, you don’t have to worry about getting the temperature right if you are using a wax pot, and the waxing technician will help soothe your skin afterwards with specialist cream.
The chances of burning, scarring or infection are significantly reduced, because the technician is fully trained, qualified and fully understands the needs of your skin. That’s why it is so important to tell your waxing technician if the area of skin that you are booked in to have waxed has changed in any way shape or form, or you are on medication, even antibiotics.
Whereas perhaps at home you wouldn’t think twice about waxing on your skin that may have a spot, bruise, or a scratch, or if you’ve started new medication/on long-term medication; this is where a problem can arise.
There are a lot of pros to getting waxed professionally, but of course, there are a couple of downsides too.
These include having to ‘reveal all’ if you are having an intimate area waxed. Often enough the technician should be able to provide you with paper knickers if you are concerned.
Then there is the cost and travelling also, but when thinking of this, you should remember that you’ll be hair free for longer and you minimise any increased risk that is involved when waxing yourself.
Fancy being hair free permanently?
When you wax you can expect to be hair free for anywhere between three and six weeks, but why not be hair free forever?
FRÉNÉSIES cream works perfectly with waxing to help stop any hair from re-growing. For the cream to work all hair has to be removed from its follicle, so it can get to work deep down within the root to disrupt the regrowth of the hair.
After one cycle of use, you’ll see anywhere between a 60-80% reduction in hair regrowth, with the cream usually taking anywhere between two and four cycles of treatment to stop hair growth altogether.
FRÉNÉSIES cream should be used after a waxing appointment as it helps to soothe irritation and redness also, and for the following four days, for you to start seeing results.
Whether you decide to wax at home or at a salon, FRÉNÉSIES cream can be your key to smooth, silky and hair free skin you’ve been waiting for.
]]>Why do we have body hair?
The body has over 5,000,000 hair follicles which all produce a hair. Our hair actually has several different functions to perform, including protecting the skin from environmental stresses, while responding to messages both external and internally that have been transferred into neurological impulses.
For example; if your body starts to feel cold, then the brain will send signals to your hair’s on your body to stand up to trap air to insulate and warm our bodies up. Hair can also detect if there is a foreign body on our body, such as an insect, so we can then work towards getting rid of it.
Back in the neolithic days, hair would protect the skin from cuts, grazes, and the Sun kept the body warm, and even worked well as camouflage.
Through the years, as humans, we have developed through evolution, and our hair waned in texture, thickness and colour, and there are a number of possible reasons for this.
Firstly, as we migrated across the world, we experienced hotter temperatures which with a full body of hair wasn’t practical; therefore our skin grew barer which helped our body to cool down quicker.
Cavemen and women also use to try and get rid of their body hair as it could easily be a weapon for an opponent to grab onto if they were in a fight.
Eyelashes are our bodies first defence in stopping bugs and other irritating objects from hurting our eyes. Leg hair and arm hair developed to help prevent chafing so we could move around without causing friction.
Does hair on different body parts do different things?
In essence yes, hair on different body parts have a different purpose.
As we stated above hair under our arms, on our legs and in the genital area are there to ‘protect’ and to prevent chafing.
The hair on the head is said to help protect the scalp from the Sun, and hair found on the rest of the body is used as thermoregulation, while also being able to detect when an insect lands on the skin, so we can reduce the chance of becoming bitten.
How to be hair free permanently
In this day and age, thankfully we have developed to not needing hair on our bodies as much as we once did, and the fashion for thousands of years is to have a hairless body.
But being hair free tends to come with its downsides - the constant need of keeping hair free with numerous waxing appointments or shaving nearly every day, surely there must be a better way?
And yes there is! FRÉNÉSIES Cream can make you permanently hair free with a huge reduction in hair regrowth (60-80% reduction) after just one cycle of treatment.
The cream works within the hair follicle to stop the new hair from forming and growing. The number of cycles of treatment needed to achieve complete hairlessness is between two and four, (six in extreme cases).
Whether you want to get rid of the hair on your face, your body, or perhaps your male and have thought about getting rid of your body hair too, FRÉNÉSIES has a cream for each of these situations.
The creams are all scientifically proven to work with natural ingredients helping to get rid of your unwanted hair. There really isn’t anything on the market that can offer these perfect results, and provide you with luscious, soft permanent hair-free skin.
]]>So we thought we’d delve into the world of waxing and see if it can indeed stop hair growth.
First, let’s look at what waxing is and how it works.
Waxing is the process of removing hair from its follicle in one quick pull of wax.
Wax comes in two forms; hard wax and soft wax.
Hard wax is when you don’t use a strip to pull the wax off such as sugar waxing, and soft wax is when you use a muslin or paper strip to pull the wax and hair off.
How does waxing work?
Whether you use hard or soft wax, waxing works by sticking to your skin and hair, and when pulled off, it pulls out the hair from its follicle and any dead skin cells too. The pulling motion also damages the bulb of the root, meaning the hair that does grow back will become weaker, thinner and take longer to develop.
Is one waxing method better than the other?
In essence no, both hard and soft wax do the same job. The only difference is that those who have more sensitive skin may fair better with hard waxing (sugar waxing) as it tends to not stick to the skin but to only pull the hairs out. This method causes less irritation than soft wax, which can be too harsh for sensitive skin or for those who have lower pain thresholds.
Is waxing a permanent or semi-permanent hair removal method?
Waxing is classed as a semi-permanent hair removal method, as it removes the whole hair from the root, but doesn’t completely stop hair from growing back.
Because the hair is removed from its follicle, it takes a longer time for the whole hair to grow back and pierce the skin.
However, although it isn’t exactly a permanent solution, what waxing does over time is not only to remove hair but damages the hair follicle in the process. This makes the new hair that grows; thinner, weaker, and paler, which increases the time for it to grow, leaving you hair free for longer. In fact, waxing can leave you hair free anywhere between four and six weeks.
So how can you stop unwanted hair growth?
To stop unwanted hair growth and to prevent it from growing back altogether, is easy when you wax and use Frenesies cream.
Frenesies cream works to block the proteins and amino acids within the hair follicle to stop a new hair from forming and growing.
It’s the perfect partner to waxing as it not only helps to stop hair growth but it also helps to naturally soothe the area and reduce the associated redness.
With the very best scientists and natural ingredients, our creams are a proven, naturally safe way to get rid of all the unwanted hair you desire in as easy as two to four cycles of treatment. After the first cycle of treatment, you’ll be able to notice up to an 80% reduction in hair regrowth.

]]>It can be for a number of reasons from personal choice, to helping with their sport such as swimming or bodybuilding, and in the 21st century is no longer a ‘taboo’ subject.
In fact there are many advantages to removing body hair; including lessening the chance of body odour, to making muscles appear bigger.
The celebrity popularity of male grooming is said to have influenced many men to follow suit; in fact it is estimated that one in three men now partake in male grooming.
Celebrities such as David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo and Robbie Williams have all chosen to either completely go hair less or to have it trimmed into shape.
So for those of you that are interested in grooming and venturing into “manscaping” the new coined term for male grooming, we’ve put together the most common places to have hair removed.
Popular Areas For Men To Get Waxed
Back and Shoulders
Men’s back hair removal is an extremely popular choice, partly because a lot of men do have hair on their back and or shoulders.
Some have the whole area covered in hair and others have hairy patches. This is perfectly normal and if the hair there bothers you then it is easy to wax it. Not only
Chest and Midsection
Chest hair removal and removal of mid section hair, including the stomach area is often a popular place to be waxed. Especially during summer months when men’s bodies are on show more, such as at the beach.
Legs
A controversial part to wax as everyone knows that men have hairy legs, but one that is a necessity to wax when a professional swimmer, to help reduce the drag in the water.
Eyebrows
In case you hadn’t noticed more and more men are getting their eyebrows trimmed into shape.
Body Hair Designs
If you don’t want to get rid of all your body hair, but would like to add some shape and a design to it, to make it look neater then this is something that can easily be “manscaped”.
There are many different designs to choose from for the front of the body, including:
The tree designs has a little hair on the chest (like a canopy of a tree) with a line of hair trailing down to the stomach (like a trunk of a tree).
This is where you just have hair on your chest
Similar to The Tree but wider in all areas with a clear defined line from where the hair starts and ends on the ‘the trunk’ part.
A vertical line of hair that grows just above the belly button.
Why Waxing Is Better Than Shaving Body Hair
When it comes to removing body hair, waxing will always be the preferred method. Why? Well, waxing keeps you hair free for longer than shaving and your body smoother, in fact you can expect to be hair free for up to four weeks. It is less time consuming and more hair will be able to be removed in one go than it would with shaving.
When hair does grow back it will do so thinner and not as strong.
You or the therapist performing the wax, will be able to distinctively see where they have been and where they need to wax to provide you with your design you want.
If you’ve considered permanently getting rid of your unwanted hair you can do through waxing and the use of Frenesies Men Cream.
A cream that has been specifically developed for men by scientists using natural ingredients that work to naturally inhibit the follicle from producing hair, with at least a reduction of 60-80% hair regrowth after one cycle of use.

]]>Well, there hasn’t necessarily been a ‘natural’ way to rid your body of the hair you don’t want, but there are methods of hair removal that can prolong the growth of the hair as well as Frenesies cream that uses only natural ingredients to prevent hair regrowth.
Waxing is a natural way to remove your unwanted hair and has been the way to remove hair since the Egyptians days. There are a few variants of waxing, but the most natural is Sugar Waxing. This involves sugar, lemon juice and water, heating it all together, letting the mixture cool and then applying to your skin, attaching to the hair and then being pulled off.
Sugar waxing only uses natural ingredients, it isn’t as painful as hard waxing and is suitable for those who have sensitive skin.
How does waxing help being hair free for longer?
Waxing helps to keep you hair free for longer because it removes the whole hair from its root. This, in turn, means it takes longer for the hair to grow back because it is a whole new hair that has to develop and not one that has been cut at the surface of the skin like shaving does.
You can expect to be hair free for up to on average four weeks through waxing, but some have even managed to go six weeks before waxing.
Waxing in itself helps to reduce (over time) the time it takes for a hair to grow back as when you wax you are ‘damaging’ (to an extent) the follicle. This means it will take even longer for the hair to grow back, and when it does grow back, the hair will be thinner.
By being completely hair free (we mean with no hair left in its follicle) means you can achieve a natural way, without harsh chemicals and lasers, to being permanently hair free with the use of Frenesies Cream.
How does Frenesies natural ingredients work to inhibit hair growth?
Frenesies was developed to give everyone the chance to reduce unwanted hair growth on a more permanent basis naturally.
With the skills and insights of the very best European Scientists, Frenesies creams have been developed as an ingenious hair growth prevention as part of a five-day treatment once hair has been waxed.
The cream has natural herbal extracts that work to prevent unwanted hair from growing by stopping the amino acids and proteins from developing a new hair. This process also makes any hair that does grow back, thinner, paler, and weaker until it is eliminated.
Frenesies creams have all been tested to prove that they are a healthier, safer and a more efficient solution than any other hair removal treatment currently available.
The creams are rich in Selenium, which has a crucial role in preventing the hair from growing, while White Willow which is also found in the creams is there to smooth and moisturise the are. It also helps to calm the irritated skin while reducing the redness associated with waxing.
So finally, there is an option for you to be hair free permanently via a natural method. No lasers and no nasty chemical substances. Just natural goodness for your hair free body.

]]>But first, let’s look as to why we have hair.
Why do we have hair?
During the Paleolithic period, our entire bodies were mainly covered in hair. This was so we could keep warm and to protect us from external factors. But over the years our bodies have evolved with the time and has stopped growing as thickly and in some areas to stop growing altogether.
Some people are genetically predisposed to being hairier than others and of course depending on what sex you are; hair grows more prominently in different places too.
Hair is also different across the body, for example, your head hair is different to the hair that grows around your pubic region and legs.
What are the three stages of hair growth?
First stage of hair growth
The first stage of hair growth is called the Anagen stage and is also known as the growing stage. This is where new hair will be produced and grow. At any given time, around 85% of your hair across the whole of your body will be in this phase. When hair is in the Anagen phase, this is when it’s the best time to wax.
Second stage of hair growth
The second stage of hair growth is known as the Catagen phase.
This is where the hair will grow upwards and out of the follicle, detaching itself from its root (the bulb). Once it has cut off from the bulb, it will no longer have access to the blood supply, resulting in the hair no longer having the nutrients it did when it was growing. There will only be between 2% and 3% of hair across the whole body that will be in this stage at any one time.
Third stage of hair growth
The third and final stage of hair growth is the Telogen stage or the resting phase. This is where the hair is at its fullest length and is completely detached from the follicle. It is during this phase when the hair is most likely to shed. Only 15% of the body’s hair will be in this stage at once.
It can take anywhere between four and thirteen weeks (depending on genetics) for a hair to grow from the bulb of the follicle (dermal papilla) to the surface of the skin.
So how do these three stages affect the hair removal process?
Now, these three stages naturally all happen at different times, which is why you may find after the first time you have waxed for example, that your hairs grow back quicker than expected (i.e. before three/four weeks).
When one hair is in the Catagen or Telogen phase, they can easily be pulled out of their follicle, but if the hairs are in their Anagen phase, then they’ll probably be too small to be removed with waxing.
When you wax or use an epilator your hair growth will be sporadic the first few times you epilate, but within time your hair growth will start to synchronise, which is what you want if you want to be hair free for a more extended period.
How To Be Hair Free Permanently
If you want to be hair free for longer then using Frenesies Cream in conjunction with waxing will see you hair free on a permanent basis.
Our Body and Facial cream has been designed to disrupt the amino proteins deep within a hair follicle to stop it from producing new hair. After the first and second cycles of treatment, you’ll notice a reduction in hair regrowth of up to 80%!
Designed with scientifically proven, natural ingredients, our cream will not only stop hair growth but will soothe your skin post-wax, helping to reduce common waxing reactions such as redness and bumps.
]]>When Is The Best Time To Epilate?
Whether it is your first time epilating or your a regular pro, it is best to do so at night either in the shower/bath (if you’re new to the process) or straight after.
It will be easier and less painful to use an epilator at this time, because your pores will be open more, the hair will be softer and a lot easier for it to be removed from its roots.
By also doing it at night, it will allow for your skin to recover, reducing inflammation and any redness so your legs should be ready to show off to the world the following day.
Side note; if you’re going through your menstrual cycle or are about to, you may want to avoid using an epilator at this time. This is because your body is really sensitive at this time and it will be more painful than normal to remove your unwanted hair.
How To Prepare For Your Epilator Session
Step 1
Exfoliate, exfoliate, EXFOLIATE!
Yes, you’ve guessed it, you’ll need to exfoliate the day before you’re due to epilate. This helps to remove any dead skin cells as well as helping to make the hair you’re about to epilate stand up more, making it easy for the epilator to grab onto the hair.
You can exfoliate right before you epilate, but this can be irritating especially if you have sensitive skin.
Step 2
If epilating in the bath or shower, epilate after ten minutes of soaking so your pores will be nice and open and the pain won’t be as intense.
Or epilate as soon as you out of the bath/shower and dry. Dry epilating will produce better results as the epilator will be able to get grab onto hairs more easily.
Don’t epilate in long strips as you would shaving, but epilate small areas at a time. Also don’t start epilating from the ankle area or on the knee (when epilating your leg), this is quite possibly the most painful area to start from as it is on bone. When using your epilator on your leg start, on the belly of your calf or side of your leg, this will be the least painful place.
Don’t rush your epilator session either. It does take more time than shaving your legs, but the results are worth it. It shouldn’t take you longer than thirty minutes to epilate both legs for example.
Step 3
Once you’ve finished epilating you’ll need to apply a soothing lotion that will help to moisturise the area, while soothing and calming it also.
Frenesies Body Cream is perfect for this final stage, with its natural soothing properties and the added bonus of achieving complete hair removal on a permanent basis.
Step 4
In between epilator session it’s crucial for you to keep up exfoliation and moisturisation, to prevent ingrown hairs and bumps to form, because of dead skin cells clogging the pores.
This will also help any new hairs to pierce the skin and grow through as they normally would.
Fancy being hair free for longer?
The joys of using Frenesies Body Cream mean you can achieve permanent hair free areas of your body when used in conjunction with a hair removal technique (epilator/waxing) that physically removes the whole hair from its root.
Frenesies body cream is packed with scientifically proven, natural ingredients that inhibit and prevent the growth of hair, while soothing the treated area too.
]]>So do different countries prefer specific hair removal methods to others? We thought we would look at the following countries to see what approach they choose to remove their unwanted hair, but first let’s quickly run over what hair removal methods there are.
Hair removal methods
Hair removal methods include:
Waxing
Shaving
Depilatory Creams
Laser hair removal
Threading
Each hair removal method has a unique take on removing hair. Some are on a more semi-permanent basis, including, waxing and laser hair removal. Whereas, others work on a short-term basis, and will need doing more regularly, such as shaving and depilatory creams.
Hair removal in the UK
Let’s start at home, in the UK, what is the most popular hair removal method?
Well, in the UK waxing, laser hair removal and shaving are all popular methods to remove unwanted hair.
Shaving is popular because it is cheap and quick and easy to do. Whereas those that want longer lasting or semi-permanent hair removal choose either waxing or laser hair removal.
Hair removal in China
Hair removal in China hasn’t been a significant beauty ritual, up until recently, and even now in the 21st century, it would appear that it’s only those that live in the big cities that have started removing unwanted hair.
Chinese women didn’t bother with removing their leg or armpit hair, as there wasn’t any pressure to do so, as it is also socially acceptable.
Hair removal (depilatory creams) and shaving are extremely popular methods of hair removal amongst Chinese women, providing the quick hair removal treatment they desire.
Hair removal in Brazil
The beautiful people of Brazil, love to look good and keep themselves fit, so it is any wonder that they are all for getting rid of their unwanted hair?
You may think that the waxing term ‘Brazilian’ actually came from Brazil, but you’d be wrong (in a way). In fact, it was Brazilian sisters known as the ‘J Sisters’ that moved to New York that coined the term Brazilian.
However, waxing is the favourite method of hair removal in Brazil, and partly it can be down to the good weather. How? Well, it’s typically warm and sunny in Brazil; therefore they usually are in summer clothes, which reveal more skin.
Hair removal in Australia
Australian girls are known for being beach babes, and what those beach babes don’t want is unwanted hair. So what is their go-to method to rid their body of hair? Laser hair removal and waxing, so they don’t need to worry about their unwanted hair, making an appearance anytime soon.
Hair removal in India
Predominantly it’s the women of upper classes that now remove their unwanted hair in India, and their chosen hair removal method is primarily depilatory creams. However, laser hair removal is fast becoming popular, especially as the laser technology develops for use on darker skin tones.
Hair removal in America
Hair removal in America is a big deal, with teenagers removing their unwanted hair through shaving and then often progressing onto waxing. Laser hair removal is prominent in the States too, as it provides longer spells of hairlessness.
Although waxing and using Frenesies Body Cream is increasingly becoming popular as it provides permanent hair removal solution, that is non-invasive and gentle on the skin.
Frenesies Creams
Frenesies has created three types of creams to help you get rid of unwanted hair for good.
Frenesies Body, Frenesies Facial and Frenesies Men have all been scientifically created alongside the world’s natural ingredients, to bring you a powerful cream that gets to work deep inside the hair follicle.
For the cream to work you have to remove all of the hair from its follicle entirely - waxing is the perfect partner to Frenesies because it does just that.
Once all hair has been removed, you apply the cream to the area so it can get to work deep in the root and inhibit a new hair from forming and growing. Not only will it be working hard at halting hair growth, but it will also beautifully moisturise and calm your skin too, helping to reduce the ever so common redness after waxing.
Waxing
Waxing is when a wax is applied to an area, a cloth is put over the wax and rubbed down, so all the hairs in that area can be stuck to the wax and cloth, and then the cloth is pulled off in one quick action.
Pain Level: High
Many hairs are being pulled out at one time from their root, so it’s going to be painful, but don’t let it put you off, the pain will only last for a couple of seconds at a time.
Overtime the more sessions you have the more accustomed to waxing you’ll become and less it will hurt.
Don’t try doing it yourself, see a professional beautician a) because when you apply that wax strip you’ll no doubt build up anxiety over pulling it off. And b) the beautician will be able to get all the areas waxed, even the hard to reach places. Have you ever thought about trying to wax your own back? Impossible!
When going for your first wax session, if you’re hair is longer than half an inch then we’d strongly recommend you trim it before you’re waxed.
The longer the hair the more difficult it is for the wax to pull out the whole hair from its follicle, increasing the chance of ingrown hairs, or hair being left behind.
Pros
Cons
Waxing Process
When you go for a wax, you want to be clean so there are no natural body oils that can inhibit the attachment of the wax.
There are two types of wax that can be used and that is sugar wax and hot wax. Don’t worry the hot wax isn’t burning hot, more warm. The wax will then be applied to the area you want, with the beautician laying cloth over the top and gently pushing down on the cloth and rubbing so all the wax attaches to the hair. And then before you know it, the cloth will have been ripped off in one quick pull and you’ll be hairless.
This process is then repeated across the area until you are completely hairless.
Afterwards the therapist will wipe away any wax residue left behind and you’ll need to moisturise the area to help calm and soothe it.
Before being waxed you’ll need to exfoliate the area you’re going to get waxed a couple of days before you have the treatment. This is so any dead skin cells can be removed and the area is prepped perfectly, so the hairs can be standing up more for the wax to adhere to.
As we’ve said previously, trimming the hair if it is long will also needed to be done if it is over half an inch long.
Booking An Appointment
Once you’ve chosen who is going to do the waxing for you, you’ll need to book an appointment, and (this is the important part) tell them exactly what it is you want removed. This not only helps them book the right amount of time, but also helps you both understand what is to be expected.
Medical
Do let the therapist know if you are on any type of medication. You should also let them know if you have sun or wind burn, a recent scar or new tattoo, a rash/graze, eczema/psoriasis, varicose vein, contagious skin condition, or even a hairy mole. All these things need to be taken into account before going ahead with a wax, as some may hinder the waxing process and others may result in postponing the appointment.
Aftercare
Don’t be alarmed if your skin appears red with little bumps and even small spots such as whiteheads after your waxing session. This is completely normal and is the skin’s reaction to having its hair pulled out at the root.
Shaving
Shaving is the “normal” hair removal choice and most popular as it provides a quick and easy way of getting rid of hair and looking neat and tidy, especially where facial hair resides.
Shaving involves using a razor (manual or electric) to cut the hair at skin level, resulting in the hair to start piercing the skin within the next day.
Shaving can enable stylish patterns and designs as you have the control over where exactly the hair gets shaved.
There are many different ways to shave, including; dry, wet, or electric etc, and doing each one is genuinely quite easy. If doing a wet shave this will take more time to do than shaving with an electric razor, as you have to dampen the skin, apply shaving foam and then shave, whereas an electric shaver you turn on an away you go.
Obviously some shaving techniques work better than others for some people and what you choose to do is your preference.
Pain Level: Low
It is relatively pain free unless you nick yourself which can be slightly painful and leave you with a little wound, that will quickly heal.
Pros
Cons
When it comes to shaving your body hair this can not only be time consuming but is something you’ll have to do regularly as the hair grows back quicker than it would if you waxed it.
Shaving Process
This can vary slightly depending on which shaving method you choose, so we’ll talk about a general “how to” for you.
The best time to shave is after showering, when the area you want to shave is wet and the pores more open, helping to make the hair softer which helps the razor to glide easily.
But before you start shaving make sure you give the area a good exfoliation with a scrub so all oil, dead skin cells and dirt can be removed so your shave can work harder for you as well as reducing the chance of spots to form.
Next you’ll need to apply shaving foam. This will help the razor to glide nicely over the area and protect against irritation.
When shaving you’ll want to use gentle strokes without too much pressure being placed on the razor, and shave both with and against the grain to get the best results.
Don’t forget to rinse your blades often while you are shaving, to get rid of foam residue and remove the hair you have already cut off.
Once you’re done apply either a soothing moisturiser or after shave to close the pores and hydrate the skin.
Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal has grown popular over the recent years as a form of hair removal on a semi-permanent basis.
The laser literally zaps the hair and hair follicle to prevent it from growing hair.
Although there are now devices you can use at home to remove unwanted hair growth by laser, it is always a better idea to go to a professional as they are experienced in performing this procedure and will be able to reach all the hard to reach places.
Pain Level: High
Laser hair removal pain level has been acquainted with that of an elastic band pinging against your skin, but at multiple times as the laser works over the skin zapping the hair.
Laser hair removal is perceived as a permanent solution, but that isn’t necessarily the case. You’ll have to have several sessions to achieve this, and after six months to a year you will have to have a top up session as hair will have started to grow back.
However, laser hair removal doesn’t work on everybody. For it to work, your hair has to be darker than your skin, because the laser picks up the colour pigment in the hair to detect it and then zaps the hair and follicle.
Those who have lighter coloured pigmented hair may find that this method doesn’t work as effectively at removing hair.
Pros
Cons
Before you have your laser hair treatment, the area should be clean so no dirt and dead skin cells can get in the way.
Make sure you are free of any sort of tan (whether real or fake) as this distorts the laser process, resulting in less hair being able to be zapped.
If hair is long, trim down to half an inch so the laser gets a better shot at the hair and its follicle.
Laser Hair Removal Process
Your technician will ask you to put on specialist goggles so the laser doesn’t affect your eyes, before they get to work.
When they start lasering, they will also blow cool air onto your skin to help reduce the pain sessions and keep your skin cool once it has been zapped.
The technician will do this for the entire area, while usually working in a linear fashion.
After Effects
You may find that your skin becomes red and even slightly tender to touch in a 24 hour period after having the session.
The technician will normally advise you on what to do and what not to do, i.e. not go out in the Sun, and what to apply onto the area to keep it moisturised.
Depilatory Creams
Depilatory creams are creams that are used for hair removal. They are easy to use, pain free and provide you with short term hair free results.
Pain Level - Low to None
You don’t tend to experience any pain from this method. You may experience a slight tenderness when you are scraping over the same area but it shouldn’t be painful.
We’d always advised for you to do a patch test 24 hours before you want to use the cream to ensure you won’t have a reaction to it.
Pros
Cons
How do depilatory creams work?
You apply the cream to the area you want to become hair free, don’t rub it in, let it sit on the skin. It will then work at dissolving the hair to just below the skin’s surface. These are usually left to work their magic for ten to fifteen minutes. Once time is up you use the device that comes with it (can either be a rough sponge or spatula) and gently scrape the cream and hair away.
Clean any residue off and moisturise afterwards for a silky smooth hair free area.
Depilatory creams will leave you hair free for up to four days.
General Hair Removal Questions
Will hair removal permanently stop hair growth?
In essence no! No matter what hair removal method you choose your hair will eventually grow back. Unless you have used a permanent hair removal cream such as our Frenesies Men Cream which will have permanently stopped hair growth.
What should I do to prevent ingrown hairs?
To prevent ingrown hairs, regular exfoliation and moisturising is key.
Exfoliate the day before you have your hair removed and then continue once it has been removed. Generally, one to two times a week will be fine.
Plan For Your Hair Removal
Always plan when you are going to get your hair removed especially if you have a big day ahead of you.
You won’t want your skin looking sore or red (if being exposed). Obviously when you remove your hair depends on what hair removal method you choose.
If waxing or lasering, choose 2-3 days before, if using a depilatory cream the day before the event should be fine, and if shaving on the day will be perfect.
When To Postpone Hair Removal
There are times when you should avoid having hair removal and these include:
If permanent hair removal is something you are considering, then there is a way of doing so through removing hair with waxing and using Frenesies Men Cream.
Frenesies men has been specifically designed for men to rid your unwanted hair, through scientific methods and natural extracts.
Not only will it work to stop your hair growing back thanks to the selenium ingredient which blocks the hair growth deep within the root, but it will also calm the area also while moisturising it too, thanks to the menthol, chamomile and rosemary found within it.
After one cycle of use you’ll notice a reduction of 60-80% of hair regrowth, with any hair growing back being weaker, thinner and paler.
It can take between two to four cycles of frenesies cream to completely get rid of your unwanted hair, but in extreme cases it may take six.
