How Fast Does Hair Grow On Different Body Parts?
Hair grows on our body for many different reasons and often the majority of it is unwanted and has been unwanted for thousands of years.

Where does hair grow?
Before a person goes through puberty, they will have head hair, eyebrows and eyelashes.
Once they start to go through puberty, females will tend to grow hair quicker than males, and hair will start to grow, on their legs, armpits and pubic region. For males, hair will grow everywhere! Apart from the soles of the feet, nobody grows hair there.
Why does hair grow quicker on some body parts?
Now that would be down to the stage the hair is at in its cycle, as hair goes through a three-step process.
Hair growth on the body is known as androgenic hair and it grows differently in males and females. Typically hair will remain in the anagen stage (actively growing) for a few months, and approximately a year in the telogen stage (where it rests and is eventually released to be shed).

Hair growth rate varies from across the body, with head hair growing on average about an inch a month, that’s up to 0.5mm a day, while armpit hair grows up to 0.27mm a day.
Facial hair grows at roughly the same rate as head hair, reaching 0.5 to an inch long in a month, and leg hair growing on average at 0.27mm per day/
Does removing unwanted hair speed up / slow down the regrowth rate?
When you remove unwanted hair it does not affect the rate it grows back. For example, if you remove leg hair it will still grow back 0.27mm a day.
Unless, of course, you are using a permanent hair removal method that will eventually halt hair growth.
Why does hair grow back quicker when you shave vs waxing?
The answer is simple. The reason hair appears to grow back quicker when you shave, whether that’s on your face, legs, underarms etc, is because the hair is cut close to the surface of the skin. Meaning it grows straight from the surface, making it visible almost instantaneously.
Whereas with waxing, you are removing the whole hair from its root and not ‘trimming’ it at the surface, resulting in a whole new hair having to be produced from the bottom of the follicle and to work its way out to the surface and beyond. So as you can guess, this takes a long time and therefore you are left hair free for longer.
